Quick tips
- Trulicity 1.5mg Pre-Filled Pen should be injected under the skin of your abdomen or thigh once a week. Do not administer intravenously or intramuscularly.
- You can inject into the same body area each week, but try not to use the exact same spot.
Store the pen in the refrigerator. When refrigeration is not possible, you can also keep your pen at room temperature (less than 30°C) for up to 2 weeks. Do not freeze it. - Do not use Trulicity 1.5mg Pre-Filled Pen if particles appear or if the solution is cloudy and/or discolored.
- Trulicity 1.5mg Pre-Filled Pen may cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or stomach pain, which may get better with time. Eat smaller meals, limit fatty food intake and inform your doctor if it does not go away.

Apart from the usual side effects of the medicine, Pen has been found to cause Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma, a type of cancer of the thyroid gland.
Its use may also increase the risk of inflammation of the pancreas commonly known as pancreatitis which is a serious and painful condition. Discontinue the medicine and contact your doctor immediately if you suspect any signs or symptoms of thyroid problems (lump in throat, hoarseness, and difficulty in speaking) or pancreatitis (stomach ache radiating to the back, upper abdominal pain, fever, nausea, and vomiting).
