Somazina Plus 400 Tablet is a combination of two medicines used in the treatment of stroke. It protects the nerve cells in the brain from damage and also helps to repair the damaged nerve cells. This medicine should be taken only when prescribed by a doctor.

Somazina Plus 400 Tablet may be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. Take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor and if you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important that this medication is not stopped suddenly without talking to your doctor as it may worsen your symptoms.

Some common side effects of this medicine include hyperactivity, stomach pain, nervousness, and decreased blood pressure. However, these are temporary and usually resolve on their own. Please consult your doctor if these do not subside or bother you. Drink plenty of fluids to keep yourself hydrated while taking this medicine as this medicine may cause diarrhea. SOMAZINA PLUS contains Citicoline and Piracetam

Somazina Plus 400 Tablet is a combination of Citicoline and Piracetam. It is used in the treatment of stroke (a condition that occurs due to decreased blood flow to your brain). It works by increasing the level of certain brain chemicals necessary for proper brain function. It also prevents damage to your nerve cells and nourishes them back to health again.

Somazina Plus 400 Tablet shows side effects like headache, sleeplessness, weight gain, stomach discomfort, and diarrhoea. These side effects may subside by themselves as your body adjusts to this medicine. However, consult your doctor if these side effects persist or worsen.

Somazina Plus 400 Tablet can be taken with or without food. Your doctor will determine the dose and duration of treatment based on the severity of your health condition. Avoid the discontinuation of this medicine without consulting your doctor.

It works by protecting the brain and nervous system against shortness of oxygen and also affects various ion channels on nerve cell membrane.

Allergy

Severe kidney impairment

Cerebral hemorrhage
A cerebral haemorrhage is a condition characterized by uncontrolled bleeding in your brain. Somazina Plus 400 Tablet is not recommended for use if you have a history of this condition as it may worsen your condition.

Huntington’s disease
Huntington’s disease is a brain condition that causes the breakdown of nerve cells in the brain. It may cause uncontrolled, irregular and unpredictable muscle movements, emotional problems, and loss of thinking ability. Somazina Plus 400 Tablet is not recommended for use in such condition.

Hypertonia
Hypertonia is a condition of too much muscle tension in your body. This condition makes it difficult to flex and move around normally. Somazina Plus 400 Tablet is not recommended for use if you have this condition.

Warnings for special population

Pregnancy
Somazina Plus 400 Tablet is not recommended for use during pregnancy unless necessary. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant before taking this medicine.

Breast-feeding
Somazina Plus 400 Tablet is not recommended for use while breastfeeding as this medicine may pass into breastmilk which could harm your baby. Therefore, consult your doctor if you are breastfeeding.

General warnings

Abrupt withdrawal
Somazina Plus 400 Tablet should not be discontinued abruptly as it may cause symptoms such as a headache, anxiety, seizures (abnormal and uncontrolled electrical activity in the brain causing uncontrolled jerking of the body), etc. Your doctor may suggest an appropriate regimen to gradually stop the treatment.

Elderly

Use in children
