Nelvir 250mg Nelfinavir Tablets

Take Tablet as instructed by the doctor. Do not take in larger or smaller quantities than recommended.

tablet contains Nelfinavir 250mg. Nelvir (Nelfinavir (250mg)) tablet is an antiviral medicine used in the treatment of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) – 1 infection. Nelvir tablet is a protease inhibitor.
tablet works by reducing the viral load of HIV in your body. Nelvir tablet improves your immune system and reduces the risk of conditions associated with HIV infection. Nelvir tablet is used in combination with other antivirals for efficiency.

(Nelfinavir (250mg)) tablet is used to treat adults only who are infected by HIV-1. tablet must be taken in combination with other anti-HIV medicines. Your doctor will discuss which combination of medicines is best for you.

(Nelfinavir (250mg)) tablet is used with other anti-HIV medication to help control HIV infection. tablet helps to decrease the amount of HIV virus in your body thus your immunity works better by reducing your chance of getting HIV complications like co-infections and other cancers. Nelvir tablet is protease inhibitor. Nelvir tablet is not a cure for HIV infection, it improves immunity that results in longevity of life. Nelvir tablet is recommended for use in children from age 2 and in adults.

Nelvir (Nelfinavir (250mg)) tablet is indicated in the treatment of HIV-1 infection that causes AIDS in humans. tablet is used with other antiviral medications to boost the immunity of the affected hosts.  tablet is indicated in adults and children above age 2.

Nelfinavir prevents HIV replication by binding to this specific enzyme thus selectively inhibits the cleavage of HIV-1 encoded Gag-Pol polyproteins in cells affected by the virus, thereby preventing the formation of mature virus particles into infectious virions that spreads the infection.

Absolute contraindication:

• if you are allergic to (Nelfinavir (250mg)) tablet
• if you are pregnant
• if you are diabetic

Relative contraindication:

• if you have a liver disorder like hepatitis B or C or Child-Pugh disease
• if you have blood disorders like hemolytic anemia
• if you have renal diseases like phenylketonuria

Very common side effects that occur in more than 1:10 patients: Diarrhea

Common side effects that occur 1:10 patients: Nausea, Flatulence, Abdominal pain, Anemia, Allergic reaction, Impaired concentration, Lipodystrophy, Metabolic acidosis, Rash, Leukopenia, Thrombocytopenia, Weakness

Uncommon side effects that occur 1:100 patients: QTc prolongation, Torsades de pointes, Diabetes mellitus, new onset and exacerbation, Hyperglycemia

Nelvir (Nelfinavir (250mg)) tablet is taken orally with food at a regular time

tablet can be taken by a child as an oral powder or crush the tablet but do not divide the crushed dosage.

After therapy has been initiated, do not take more or less of Nelvir medicine than prescribed or stop taking it without your physicians’ approval. Skipping or changing the tablet dose without approval may cause the amount of the virus to increase making the infection more difficult to treat, or worsen side effects.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding inform your physician as they are not advisable.

The recommended dosage for tablet is 1250mg taken twice per day or 750mg taken twice per day

(Nelfinavir (250mg)) tablet must be taken with other antivirals as prescribed by the physician without fail. These medicines must be taken with food on a regular time basis.

The use of  (Nelfinavir (250mg)) tablet in less than 2 years of age is not recommended.

The recommended age is 2 to 13 years and dosage is calculated as 25-35 mg/kg given three times a day or 45-55mg/kg given two times a day

(Nelfinavir (250mg)) tablet has only been used in few patients 65 years or older. Dosage and usage are similar to adults. Discuss with your physician before usage.
