PREGNANCY & BREAST FEEDING
Do not take IVANODE 5MG if you are pregnant or are planning to have a baby or breast feeding
Ask for advice to your doctor before taking this medicine
CHILDREN & ADOLESCENTS
it is not intended for use in children and adolescents
DRIVING & USING MACHINES
it may cause temporary brightness in the field of vision
If this happens to you, do not drive or use machines
INTERACTIONS:
Tell your doctor if you are taking,
Fluconazole (an antifungal medicine)
Rifampicin, intravenous erythromycin (an antibiotic)
Barbiturates, phenytoin (for difficult sleeping or epilepsy)
Quinidine, disopyramide (to treat heart rhythm disorders)
Bepridil (to treat angina pectoris)
Pimozide, ziprasidone, sertindole medicines to treat anxiety, schizophrenia or other psychoses
Anti-malarial medicines (such as mefloquine or halofantrine)
Pentamidine (an antiparasitic medicine)
Cisapride (against the gastro-oesophageal reflux)
Furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide, indapamide (used to treat oedema, high blood pressure)
DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
it should be taken during meals
If you are being treated for stable angina pectoris, chronic heart failure
The starting dose should not exceed one tablet of IVANODE 5MG 5 mg twice daily
The maintenance dose should not exceed 7.5 mg twice daily
The usual dose is one tablet in the morning and one tablet in the evening
If you are elderly your doctor may prescribe half the dose i.e., one tablet of IVANODE 5MG 2.5 mg in the morning and one tablet of IVANODE 5MG 2.5 mg in the evening
If you take more IVANODE 5MG
If you take more IVANODE 5MG than you should contact your doctor immediately If you forget to take IVANODE 5MG
If you forget to take a dose of IVANODE 5 MG, take the next dose at the usual time
Do not take a double dose to make up for the forgotten dose
If you stop taking IVANODE 5MG
Do not stop taking IVANODE 5 MG without first consulting your doctor

Keep this medicine out of reach of children
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date
Store at room temperature (15-25°C)
PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
it is a medicine used for the treatment of angina (heart-related chest pain) and chronic (long-term) heart failure. It makes the heart work more efficiently by lowering the heart rate. This relieves chest pain and decreases the risk of hospitalization in heart failure patients.
The dose will depend on what you are being treated for.
Since the treatment for angina or heart failure is usually life-long, you should not stop using it without talking to your doctor.
It should be taken with food at the same time each day.

most common side effects
The most common side effects are temporary brightness in your vision and changes to your heart function.
You may also experience uncontrolled blood pressure, headache, dizziness, and blurred vision.
Some side effects such as fainting and significant changes to your heartbeat may be very serious and may need urgent medical attention.
Avoid driving until you know how this medicine will affect you.Do not use Ivanode 5 Tablet if you have severe liver disease, have a low resting heart rate, or a heart rhythm disorder.
This medicine is also not suitable if you have very low blood pressure and heart failure that has recently become worse.
This medicine interacts with certain other medicines used to treat high blood pressure, fungal infections, and HIV.
Do not take it if you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.

HOW TO USE IVANODE TABLET
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ivanode 5 Tablet is to be taken with food.

Alcohol

Breast feeding

Driving
it may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.
it may cause transient luminous phenomena consisting mainly of phosphenes. The possible occurrence of such luminous phenomena should be taken into account especially when driving at night.
Kidney
it should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Ivanode 5 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver
it should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Ivanode 5 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

WHAT IF YOU FORGET TO TAKE IVANODE TABLET?
If you miss a dose of Ivanode 5 Tablet, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.
