Fincar 5

FINCAR 5MG contains Finasteride which belongs to a group of medicines called type II 5-alpha reductase inhibitors. It is used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) which is a condition in which an overgrowth of prostate tissue pushes against the urethra and the bladder, blocking the flow of urine. It can also cause kidney, urinary tract or bladder problems.

Finasteride helps in shrinking of the prostate gland in adult men when it is swollen. DHT is considered to be the primary androgen playing an important role in the development and enlargement of prostate gland.

Finasteride inhibits an isozyme called Type II 5?-reductase present in the prostate, seminal vesicles and epididymides, which is responsible for conversion of testosterone into 5alpha-dihydrotestosterone (DHT).

This medicine is intended for use only in men. It can be taken with or without food. Continue to take this medicine, as long as your doctor tells you to do so, to obtain better results. Talk to your doctor, before taking this medicine if you have any mood alterations and depression.

Women planning to become pregnant or already pregnant should avoid exposure to the drug through sexual contact with a man taking finasteride and should not touch crushed or broken tablets of finasteride. This medicine is strictly not recommended for use in children.

TABLET belongs to a class of medicines called dermatological used to treat male pattern hair loss (androgenetic alopecia). Alopecia is the thinning or loss of hair on the scalp or any part of the body. Androgenetic alopecia is the permanent hair loss from the scalp that causes baldness.

TABLET contains Finasteride (5-alpha-reductase inhibitor) that works by blocking the action of a 5-alpha-reductase enzyme in the body that converts testosterone (male hormone) into dihydrotestosterone that causes hair loss. Thereby, it reduces dihydrotestosterone levels and slows down hair loss.

Take TABLET as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take TABLET for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition.

In some cases, you may experience low sexual desire, impotence (erectile dysfunction), abnormal ejaculation or trouble having an orgasm.

Most of these side effects of TABLET do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to TABLET or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. FINCAR 5MG TABLET is not recommended for children below 18 years as the safety and effectiveness were not established. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, avoid taking TABLET as it is not for use in women.

If you are planning to father a child, inform your doctor before taking TABLET as it may affect sexual activity or male fertility. Avoid alcohol consumption with FINCAR 5MG TABLET as it may decrease the effect of TABLET.
