CIPLACTIN contains Cyproheptadine which belongs to antiserotonergic agent
WHAT CIPLACTIN IS USED FOR?
It is used to treat:
Perennial and seasonal allergic rhinitis
Allergic conjunctivitis due to inhalant allergens and foods
Amelioration of allergic reactions to blood or plasma

Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:
Are allergic (hypersensitive) to Cyproheptadine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
Have a history of bronchial asthma
Have intraocular pressure
Have cardiovascular disease
Tell your doctor if you are taking:
Hypnotics, sedatives, tranquilizers, antianxiety agents
DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
Shake well before use
If you take more CIPLACTIN
If you take more of this medicine, tell your doctor or go to nearest hospital
If you forget to take CIPLACTIN
If you forget to take a dose, take it after food as soon as you remember, but if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue as usual
Do not use a double dose to make up for a missed dose
If you stop taking CIPLACTIN
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you to do so
Keep this medicine out of reach of children
Store at a room temperature of 15-25°C
It relieves symptoms of inflammation as well as itching, swelling and rashes.
It is also used to treat loss of appetite (need for food). It is an effective hunger stimulant.
Ciplactin Syrup can be taken with or without food and it is better to take it in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor.
You may need this medicine only on days you have symptoms, or you may need to take it every day to prevent symptoms from happening.
If you stop taking it earlier than advised, your symptoms may come back. This medicine is generally very safe.
This medicine may cause some amount of dizziness, so do not drive or do anything that needs attention. Consult your doctor if it persists or worries you.
It may cause a headache in some cases. Before taking it, you should tell your doctor if you have any problems with your liver or kidneys or with your heart.
Avoid drinking alcohol as it can cause excessive drowsiness with this medicine.

Unless Ciplactin is used to lower the prolactin levels in the mother, it should be avoided as it might interfere with breastfeeding.
Ciplactin may cause dizziness, sedation, and hypotension in elderly patients. This may affect your ability to drive.
