WHAT CIPLACTIN PLUS IS USED FOR?
It is used:
For loss of appetite, weight loss, anorexia nervosa, and as an adjunct to anti-tubercular and antiretroviral regimens for weight gain
In underweight children who have inadequate dietary intake or loss of appetite and children suffering from anemia, liver or digestive disorder.
DIRECTIONS & FOR USE:
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
Shake well before use
If you take more CIPLACTIN PLUS
If you take more of this medicine, tell your doctor or go to nearest hospital
If you forget to take CIPLACTIN PLUS
If you forget to take a dose, take it after food as soon as you remember, but if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue as usual
Do not use a double dose to make up for a missed dose
If you stop taking CIPLACTIN PLUS
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you to do so

HOW CIPLACTIN PLUS SYRUP WORKS
Ciplactin Plus is a combination of three medicines: Cyproheptadine, tricholine citrate and sorbitol, which revives appetite. Cyproheptadine is an appetite-stimulant.
It works by reducing the effect of a chemical messenger (serotonin) in the hypothalamus, a part of the brain which regulates appetite.
Tricholine citrate is a bile acid binding agent which removes bile acids from the body. The liver then produces more bile acids using cholesterol, as a result of which cholesterol level is lowered.Sorbitol acts as a syrup base and also as an osmotic laxative to relieve constipation.
